Alistair Rowe

Alistair Rowe lives and works in Perth. He makes works using a combination of assemblage, action and video. Working with found materials and objects that are often activated in oblique ways, he creates unique sensory environments that surprise and confuse our everyday experience of materiality and space. Alistair recently completed a studio residency at PICA for his project Both Sides Now, which saw him constructing a set of spatial propositions within, and in response to, the architecture and atmospheric conditions of the Clock Tower studio at PICA. Alistair is a graduate of Central Tafe and Curtin University.
