Amber Harries

Amber Harries is an emerging artist from Perth, Western Australia. She graduated from Central Institute of Technology in 2009 with an Advanced Diploma in Visual Art. Amber participates in many community based art projects and contributed to Royal Perth Hospital’s Artists in Hospital Program in 2007-2008. In 2010 her installation ‘After we Were Gone’ was selected for the Hatched National Graduate Exhibition at PICA. Harries recently finished a one year studio residency at VENN. From her studio she has developed her exploration of the relationship between organism and environment, focusing on the gradual process of change in an ecosystem brought about by the progressive replacement of one community by another. Amber is a Co-Director of Paper Mountain.
