David studied Visual Art at Edith Cowan University, Perth and Art in Public Space at RMIT, Melbourne. He has exhibited widely through group exhibitions in public and artist run galleries throughout Australia. Alongside his solo art practice Turley has collaborated on performance/installation works for the past twelve years with Korin Gath as d&k. d&k were most recently included in duetto at the Australian Experimental Art Foundation 2010. They have been awarded numerous studio residencies including Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (2005) and an Australia Council studio in Tokyo (2006). Turley’s latest project is based between Perth and Kent, UK. Supported by the Department of Culture and the Arts WA, he is currently researching a new series of site-specific works in Kent and collaborating on a programme of events for the Dorset Arts Festival, UK 2012.
