Mel Pearce thinks of her work as rather frantic and desperate. She graduated from CIT in 2008 and from Curtin in 2009. She is kinda like a superhero. By day she battles Centrelink and job-search agencies, by night she draws bits and pieces. Except she actually draws in the day, not night… and battling Centrelink and job-search agencies and drawing pictures usually occurs concurrently. There isn’t really a set time for either. Mel is influenced by (but not limited to) the following: tamagotchi, manga, animation, ink-nibs, Portal, melodicas, symphonic soundtracks, grief and hope. She currently works from her desk at home but hopes one day to climb Paper Mountain and take up residence there.
