I use painting as a means of investigating mundanity, and how the repetitive building up of mundane instances affects an overall whole. My work also employs medium possessing inherent reflective properties as a means if incorporating the viewer into these investigations. Influences of minimalism, non-objective formalism and system painting permeate my work. My work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Australia in galleries such as Spectrum, Gallery Central, Moores Building, FreeRange, PICA, Darwin Visual Arts Space and the Drill Hall. Globally I have shown in galleries including Edinburgh College of Art and New York University. I have undertaken a residency in Shanghai China, and have recently begun a year long residency project at Fremantle Arts Centre as part of the ARI: RHINOCEROS.
