Olga Cironis is an installation artist who has exhibited extensively throughout Australia and has been involved in public art projects in WA, NSW and NT. She has a Masters in Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts (Sydney University). She has taught at Newcastle University NSW, Sydney College of the Arts NSW and Central Institute of Technology WA. In her art practice Olga Cironis uses her personal experiences as a child of Greek refugee parents living in Australia, to explore the dichotomy between identity and place. Olga’s past installations are works that invite participation from the audience, through whose actions the meaning of the work can change.
